Hirunipin-2 — Second-Generation Leech Antimicrobial Peptide

Extended characterization of hirunipin-2, a second member of the hirunipin antimicrobial peptide family from Hirudo medicinalis. Features an expanded antimicrobial spectrum compared to the prototype, including activity against additional Gram-negative pathogens and enhanced biofilm penetration.
